You can also have a non-algorithmic feed on bsky, the algo “discover” feed is only one of the options, and you can make your own feed with a set of hashtags and keywords

1·2 days agoYeah nextcloud is a bit of a beast to manage alone. Tell you what, I’ll try selfhosting LaSuite sometime and I’ll tell you if it has it or not.

4·3 days agoTo have a single user with multiple services you usually use a separate oauth provider, in the french government’s case that’s France connect but authelia is a good self-hosted option.
It’s possible these ones have a built-in system for this though, I haven’t checked.

They generally work pretty well (demo on the site) and are a mix of homegrown solutions and rebrands of existing projects like matrix. All of them are open source.

Technology@lemmy.zip•Macron says France to fast-track social media ban for kids under 15English
4·4 days agoI’m tentatively hopeful it will use the pre-existing government SSO, which would be the ideal solution, since no data would be transferred to the website or third parties.
nothing much but I tried to make a non-pixel art version of the current logo

just the I and the purple could be used as the favicon
I’ll try and make something better later
Is there a style or theme that would be preferred?
FirefoxOS lives on as KaiOS, which I have used - It’s fine.
Right now the most credible third option for the mobile space seems to be linux mobile, which is already pretty well along. I’m not sure it needs a mozilla partnership to get more mature.
Faut dire que comme macron, carney est bien meilleur a l’international qu’au national.
Mais oui c’est probablement un des meilleurs discours politique que j’ai entendu

Linux@lemmy.ml•So, why *should* GNOME support server side decorations?
13·11 days agoI 100% agree, but I didn’t want to come across too accusatory in my article so I chose to indirectly adress it in this paragraph:
The real problem is the idea that GNOME project shouldn’t cater to [people who want SSD]. It would be like GNOME not supporting xdg-file-chooser and saying that each app should ship their own file picker. But GNOME does support it, and only apps that wish to implement their own file picker do so.
Since both approaches are used, and liked, miscellaneous advantages and disadvantages of either approach are irrelevant, and so are other arguments pertaining to design. This is why I haven’t brought them up.
basically saying I think their vision doesn’t matter when it comes to supporting things like that for third party apps.

Moi j’utilise surtout l’app transit, il n’y a rien de mieux pour le systeme de transit de montréal, sinon y a aussi mappy.com qui est français, mais je sais pas trop si c’est super bon
